Jasmine Cheung (b.1992) based in Taiwan and Hong Kong, is a curator-artist, filmmaker and creative producer. Influenced by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Sophie Calle, focus on the presentation of time in images and private experience as an empathic experience that hovers between the private and the public in artistic techniques.
Studying Contemporary Visual Culture and Practice (MFA) at the National Taiwan University of Art, Kougengaku is her recent MFA research, returning to the histoire evenementielle (history of events) of a specific era as observed through purely object observation, analysing the significance of Asian contemporary art in visual culture and sociology.
